Is there a way to find old Holt Auctions items? Other than realized prices from the March auction, I cannot find any of their old catalogs on line on their website. I'm looking for auctions that are probably 6 months to a year old. Not interested in the sale prices, so much as the descriptions and photos.

I think you have to purchase their catalog search for £35.

Holts has an app that I’ve added to my iPad that has past catalogs. They may only go back a few years. Didn’t cost anything. Can be a touch flakey.

It is on page 333 lot number 1709 in last year's auction. I think it was November but not sure. Says "wall thicknesses well below recommended minimum" - which makes me wonder how they can even sell it?

Yes it was in the Nov auction and sold for £500 plus fees. Wall thickness has nothing to do with a gun being proof. See this article Proof. Ken

No, but that is a nice one. The one I'm looking for is a MacPherson that has 2" chambers and is due to arrive in about a month. I'm guessing that would be from the November auction, which nicely has a 2" I think the lot number is 1702. It's description says 87237. I'm hoping this is NOT the one, but it certainly could be. I and find the listing on my phone using the app that CJF suggested (It works for Android phones too). Just don't know how to get that to my computer. Yes, wall thickness is not part of the proof, but "well below recommended" sure sounds like it is of questionable salability. If that is the gun, and it likely is, then I'll not be pursuing it. I was shown a picture briefly on a cell phone, but nothing else. It was enough to get me very interested, however. This description is rather disappointing.
