This is not a complaint post!

Just looking for any information from people who have ordered a letter.

Placed my order approx. 160 days ago and the website says 90 days in the expectation.
Emailed a follow up about a week ago. Left a voicemail today.
No information since the confirmation of my order.

For those of you that have ordered a letter, what was the turnaround time?

Thanks in advance!

I've never ordered all that many but seems like the last ones were taking up near 6 months. And likewise, I don't recall getting anything in the way of acknowledgement until the letter showed up.

Thank you.
Won't worry about it for another month or so.
Honestly, I forgot about it this time until searching my email for something else.

My 1883 came with the letter. The letter for my 1883 states the stocks are wood and the finish blue!! The only things blue are the top-lever and trigger guard which are niter-blue.

When available, I will generally get a letter. Hopefully I get a tiny bit more information. laugh

I was pleasantly surprised by a phone call today and my letter "should be" 3-4 weeks out.

I think if they charged more, it would get there faster. It works at Cody.

Letter arrived.
Mine has a wood stock also! laugh

The letter does state that the information was "retrieved from the original Colt shipping records", so not surprised that details are limited.
Grade, weight, gauge and barrel length all match the letter.
Shipped to Detroit, MI, so it didn't travel very far in the following 123 years, (Shipped Feb. 1899) as I purchased it just a few miles northwest of "The D".
