My theory is that is because Remington is still cranking out firearms, not as much nostaglia associated with the Remington name as the other great names that have gone belly up.

This of course is not logical, but hell when it comes to shotguns, emontion overwhelms logic, elsewise when would all be shooting Beretta 391s, Mossberg pumps, and Mirokus.
