You can use the purple (least hold) or blue (medium) locktite; never use the red. The latter is for a permanent bond. The others will loosen OK by a screwdriver. Nail polish is OK. Super glue usually does not work well on metal.

I use blue locktite on my cowboy action guns, especially the Norinco 97 which will unscrew if you look at it wrong.
