Sorry John-- I did not mean any sarcasm. perhaps because I am fortunate to own an Osthaus painting, and I admire American artists with Germanic/European ancestry-ie" Carl Runigus, Ogden M. Pleissner and others,, I thought this gentleman might appreciate the fact that Herr Osthaus moved and worked in the upper strata of American wealthy sportsmen, and could, most likely,. owned a AAHE grade Parker- he chose Remington shotguns as his vade mecum of birdguns. After some of the ant-Germanic prejudice abated following the end of WW1, Osthaus was re-instated as Curator of the Toledo (Ohio, not Spain) Museum of Art and held that position until his untimely passing. So, in light of this, our Utah friend might realize the intrinsic value of these fine weapons produced by Remington Arms-- one can only hope!! RWTF
