Gunsmiths often would XX out choke if they shortened the barrels or opened them up. .005 and .020are very useful chokes, for a lot of shooting, and sounds like you found a nice gun to shoot. Some like ejectors but I find them only marginally useful. My shooting is rarely so hot and heavy I need help getting empties out of the chamber for faster reloading. While I like the 1894's a bit more than the 1900 that just may be my bias for the fore ends on them. Remington's were a well made double and much undervalued in my travels.
