Gentleman...I have had a wonderful weekend until now...
Thursday night we went to see the boys play soccer where they won their away game under the lights 2 to 1. My son Maxx played an outstanding game and although Jake did not play it was an honor to have him sit the Varsity bench as he was one of the 4 players moved up from Junior Varsity to assist the Varsity team in the upcoming sectional playoffs.
My Birthday was Friday and in the morning my friends Stan, Stella and Mr. 28 Bore Darne went bird hunting...only came home with one Chukar but it was fun and the dogs had a good time.
It may be Stella's last time a field as she is old in Lab years (12). Stan is an idiot and will be with me for several more seasons. During our outing, Stan ran over a Chucker at full gallop...I have since concluded that Weimariner is the German word for “slightly retarded”.
After the morning hunt I had a hot date with my better half and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch on the shores of Canandaigua lake. That night the remaining family (my oldest is away at college…but she did call to wish me a happy birthday and sent a gift along ahead of time too!) made popcorn and watched the “Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer” on the surround sound system!
Saturday was equally fun…breakfast in bed, playing with the motorcycles in the afternoon and then 4 hours of twilight bow hunting where I saw a few deer but had no shooting opportunities.
Today, Sunday …My youngest soccer team (I am the coach) blew the doors off their opponents 5 to ZERO and we have 75 and sunny weather and as I am writing this I m looking forward to the evening bow hunt. So…it’s been a great few days until now…
I have received numerous email expressing disenchantment with various members of the BBS who persist in meaningless squabbles about equally unimportant subjects. Most threads they participate in just deteriorate into childish name calling and sarcastic personal attacks.
I have decided to give myself a birthday gift and will forewarn those of you involved.
I will cut you off at the knees and ban you from the board until such time you can illustrate to me that you will behave a gentlemen on my, yes my forum.
Ownership has its privileges and one of them is the ban the user button. So, the game is afoot and I see no innocent parties...if any of the three stooges or even Shemp so much as type one unkind work about each other or any other member I will ban all involved from the BBS for a 2 week period...and if that doesn’t clean things up a permanent ban is very doable.
