B & K Hamada were two brothers that made guns in the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s. After the war the business changed to Hamada & Sons LTD, similar to our Griffin and Howe. They have some really nice quality guns, I was hoping to find some more info on them. Japanese gun makers are like the new British gun trade. There were a handful of amazing handmade gun manufacturers in Japan before the war. It’s a shame they are such a mystery.
Well, that is a start. Probably not such a mystery, in Japan, but, we ain’t there.
There was a thriving gun trade in Japan, at one time. My Father had some customizing done to a first year Remington 700 in 7mm magnum that he bought in Japan, after winding down a brief tour in a different spot. The engraving and black chroming to the stainless barrel are as nice as anything I have ever seen, if not to my own tastes.
Best,
Ted
