It most likely won't look pretty but with some acraglass it will be functional. I once had stockmaker take a buttstock off of a graded gun to put on another graded gun and there were gaps of up to 1/32 in a couple of places. He could make it work, but lovely wasn't going to a word used when describing it. The old saying "Looks good from far but far from good" applied.
