Raimey, I don't understand your post from yesterday. Maybe you were reposting my question that didn't get answered. Actually, George replied cordially to my comments on another thread. Thanks.

eightbore:

My intent was to return to previous "Bo-Whoop" posts to verify what serial number was on the original Mr. Buck "Bo-Whoop" Becker Fox double. I just wanted to get a fact: a serial number from someone who has seen it and not start the integrity stir again; although, a current pic of the serial number would prove educational. Researcher posted that in a McIntosh book, there was a location and type for Fox #31108. I inquired to Mr. Highsmith as to why around Memphis did they choose Fox. He indicated that it was a simple design as well as being dependable. From our conversation of my questions and his answers it seemed that one would take a Fox and modify it to the intended purpose. So, what was the original "Bo-Whoop" serial number, type and where was it shipped?

Kind Regards,

Raimey

Petty jealousy? Covet thy neighbor's Bo Whoop? He's been pretty darn polite for a lot longer than I would have been.

Maybe when he admitted to touching and feeling and drooling over Bo Whoop followed by pages of "stealing, give it back and law suits" the owner requested he keep his mouth shut in the future?

Although I read on another board he had invited a couple of Fox Experts to come by his hotel during a vintagers shoot to personally see photo's but no one took up his offer.

Ed,

Why not post some pics if your allowed?

Dear George,
I have "no dog in this fight" and normally wouldn't even post a comment on an issue like this, but it's becoming tiresome and taking up space on this BB. Consequently, with all due respect... "tsk", "tsk"...you should give a "rats ass" about this issue, for if people think you're telling tall tales, then why would anyone believe what you say about the multitude of guns for sale on your land company web site? Integrity takes a long time to build, perhaps because through action and word it has to be earned. On the other hand, integrity can be taken away in a matter of seconds once truth is questioned.
BTW - if you happen to have any ocean front property for sale in Bozeman Montana I'd be interested.

I'm still a little creepy on this whole 'come back to my hotel room and see my Bo Whup' business. I'd half expect OJ to pop out of the closet.

Hotel rooms are for people to sleep in while they are away from home. They're not for conducting business, getting married, or showing guns.

If my reputation were under attack I'd have made it a simple matter; I'd have taken the papers to the show and shown at least one reputable person who could vouch for me. No, I wouldn't 'have' to do that, but I'd put and end to all the naysayers right away.

If nothing else this whole matter has made me glad I don't collect Foxes!

Oh contraire. It only adds to the mystique, stolen Bo Whoops, seedy motels, duplicate manifest and non-notorized manifesto's.

Just last week the highest price ever for a pristine CE 16, $19,550. What more could you ask for?

No such thing as bad publicity, I bet it's all part of the plan. Whatever that may be.

Raimey, the serial number was mentioned in Nash's letter to the gentleman who owned the HE-XE and wrote to Nash requesting information. The letter has been "out there" for years. The number probably surfaced elsewhere, but I don't know about that. Other minds will add to this information.
