I am kinder to my old pre war German guns than you have been.
I am more into shooting the tar out of my guns. To some I should be ashamed how I abuse my double's but in the end I have never seen a coffin with luggage racks either. I think nothing of taking a 21 or an old Parker out in the pouring rain to shoot ducks and nor do I care. I learned allot from that gun, from butchering it "Cone Job" to learning the art of a market hunter.
So in the end it treated me well and if it ends up on the wall or back in my shooting battery it owes me nothing since there are many memories there.

You will find yourself in a minority here if you don't care about the abuse you inflict on nice old double guns. It's really pretty easy to properly care for the guns and still enjoy using them. If you really care about them, you can easily learn what to do and what to avoid. Sounds as if you really don't give a hoot, and that is regretful.

Greg, I believe big crown belongs to Prussia, when the second crown to Saxony, where Suhl was located.

Chief's concerns are valid about cutting the chambers deeper, IMO. But, I will disagree that typical "long cones" do any wall thinning to be of concern. The typical "long cone" reamers available from reputable sources have an angle much steeper than the outside taper of the barrel. Therefore, the thinnest point will always be the corner at the front of the chamber where the forcing cone starts. Deepening chambers will reduce wall thickness at the already thinnest point.

boxbirder is having a little fun with us I do believe.
I don't doubt he did all of the things mentioned but it sounds as if he was in high school at the time. While he may take a Model 21 out in the rain now, I doubt he would bore the chambers out.
It sounds as if the gun and the kid behind it had a hell of a good time.

We did have a helluva time, but I have learned my lesson about that butcher job and websites like this one have made me even smarter. I had my Parker out this morning for wood ducks, 20ga with 32" barrels. I wiped it off, cased it and sits ready for tomorrows hunt in the back of the work van. All day I was configuring a Cisco phone system but all I could think about was going out in AM.
