The gun is a Rigby SLE. I'll note that I removed the ejector mechanism from the fore end about a year ago because it wasn't working right. I believe the issue occurred before the ejector mechanism was removed.
Every once in a while the trigger pull for the left barrel will become extremely light, probably under a pound rather than it's normal 4-5 pound trigger. I've had the side locks off, the sear engages correctly and everything appears correct.
Any thoughts onto the cause and perhaps a way to fix it that doesn't require a gunsmith?
