The aesthetics/attractiveness of a pattern welded tube is a different issue from the strength of that tube.
Attractive crolle patterns are symmetric and uniform; the scrolls are similar in shape and size and the contrast consistent.
That doesn't necessarily mean there is a defect that lowers the strength of that tube.
