So I acquired some oldies . 1906 12 ga sxs l.c.smith, 1952 superposed 20ga o/u and a 1966 medallion 300 win mag . All need some TLC. None will be for sale. Atleast I hope not. Can post pics. Later if Im allowed to. Oh I almost forgot ,yes Im a new member being following for a awhile. So locating parts isnt very easy. Which ya'll all know. Tried all the major and minor places I know of. Made phone calls to my eccentric friends and nothing to frution. In search of long tang single trigger guard.Any help will be appreciated.
Second should I reblue all the above guns? The Smith I believe should leave alone nice patina. Superposed I think should be bring back to orginal glory. If I can afford the entire project. 300 win mag beautiful wood and engraved. Barrel not so great.
Main concern is the Superposed . Buy new trigger? Can I replate back in gold? Where and who. Send entire gun somewhere? Perfer to do most of it myself. Needs new stock . Probably more when I get all in pieces and see what else I need. Sorry for long ramble. House interior being painted cant do much while evething is wrapped up. Any help is greatly appreciated.
