So I acquired some oldies . 1906 12 ga sxs l.c.smith, 1952 superposed 20ga o/u and a 1966 medallion 300 win mag . All need some TLC. None will be for sale. Atleast I hope not. Can post pics. Later if Im allowed to. Oh I almost forgot ,yes Im a new member being following for a awhile. So locating parts isnt very easy. Which ya'll all know. Tried all the major and minor places I know of. Made phone calls to my eccentric friends and nothing to frution. In search of long tang single trigger guard.Any help will be appreciated.
Second should I reblue all the above guns? The Smith I believe should leave alone nice patina. Superposed I think should be bring back to orginal glory. If I can afford the entire project. 300 win mag beautiful wood and engraved. Barrel not so great.
Main concern is the Superposed . Buy new trigger? Can I replate back in gold? Where and who. Send entire gun somewhere? Perfer to do most of it myself. Needs new stock . Probably more when I get all in pieces and see what else I need. Sorry for long ramble. House interior being painted cant do much while evething is wrapped up. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Maybe he can help locate parts also. Wont ask how much.I will let him shock me. A5 's and O/U looking nice. How bad were they before? Thanks Mike and JT. Not sure if Im on probation as a new member. Are you sure your 1952 Superposed originally had a gold trigger?

So I just picked up this '59 20 gauge, 28", unmolested wood. You can see the blindingly shiney silver trigger. Polished, right? What year did they begin to gold plate the triggers? ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/GdkZn1W.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/D1xyv0r.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i.imgur.com]](https://i.imgur.com/JdUwF63.jpg)

The early Standard Weight "Blue Streak" 20 ga. Superposeds had a fire-blued trigger. Have to consult Schwing's book to know when the gold trigger was introduced, but it was probably at the same time the "Lightning" Model was introduced. But I'm sure it was well before 1959. JR
