It's a revelation! Laurel Mountain Forge browning liquid No degreasing! I have a Damasscus 12 bore hammer gun a friend browned,turned out very well. I bought a bottle of the browning solution and am practising on a 22 rifle barrel and it's coming along very well, I'll try a damascus sxs barrel I had to sand down after dent removal, so I lost the damascus pattern where I sanded, I plan on using a weak soulution of muriatic acid to etch the pattern then brown it with the Laurel Forge solution. Just imagine, no degreasing, no fingerprints, just what we need, we basement smiths. It does not even stink the house out, although I think the muriatic acid application will do that, so out to the picnic table on the lawn.
