The reason it doesn't look like an R11 is that it isn't an R11-in fact, it is not a Darne.

It is a Francisque Darne. Jallas & Cie were the owners of the Francisque Darne in the 1930s. Francisque Darne, Regis Darn's eldest son, founded the firm in 1907, building similar, but, not identicle copies of the 1894 Regis Darne patent guns. Francisque Darne died in 1917, but the company kept on until 1955 under different owners.

I can't open the picture you have posted, but, with a clear photo of the barrel flats, I could grade and date it for you.

They are usually nice guns, by the way. Enjoy.
