I’m on my way to pick up a 1941 LC Smith Field Grade 20 bore with 28” barrels, DT, and 2 3/4” chambers. It’s not clear if the gun has ever been fired, but it’s condition is 100%. Since you just don’t see these guns in this condition, there’s not a lot to compare to. I’m a little hesitant to throw out a value to my insurance company, but was thinking $3k-$3.5k. Thoughts?

Unless its a rare configuration, or there's some special provenance, I'd say your estimate is gracious. Even at 100% , it's still a field grade. JMHO.

$3500 is in the realm of possibility...but it really needs to be around 100%, with no box...

don furgit to ax about duh box...if you could come up wid dat, dat wood be ah big deal...
