Was there a standard thread pitch for the front bead on English shotguns circa 1883 and does anyone know what it is?
Thanks in advance

Likely BA threads, can you measure the outside diameter? If not, the minor of the hole?

I doubt there was any standardization of bead size threads. Could be what they had on hand and used whatever tap was required. Best way to know is remove it and measure it, then put it back in until the new one comes in.

Over 100 years later, the bead has been worn down and is barely visible
