Gentlemen ,
Thank you for your replies, maybe I didn't explain myself clearly?
I really am paranoid about doing everything perfectly and my concern is all about boring the hole perfectly in line with the threaded hole in action .As you can appreciate this can vary in a number of degrees from being just a few degrees down from the axis of the bores to being anything up to 30 degrees or even more.
Any misalignment here can lead to the wood not being clamped correctly to the action.

If you are going to work on guns, you will sleep a lot better when you learn there is not much you can do to a gun that someone else can't repair.

Salopian it all comes down to a couple of sayings "practice makes perfect" and "A man who never makes a mistake never makes anything" unfortunately you spend most of your life learning and practicing then when you put it all together perfectly it will be time to leave.
The only lessons in my life I truly did learn from where the ones I paid for!
