The rifle is to be a knock-about and for fun, with deer second in mind. It carries well, and will be great for runnin' down trespassers and poachers. Doesn't the '92 have a smaller action than the '94 and Marlin?

Smaller than the Win. 94, yes, smaller than a Marlin 1894. Hum, good question will have to measure them to make sure. I really don't think that there is a lot of difference as I remember.

See above ol'boy, see above! "Other fine firearms, and related materials," and besides - it cost more than most Lefever G&H grades!

That's a mighty "fine firearm" to be chasing poachers with.

They deserve to be chased with a decent rifle j0e - if they take the time to hop my fence, they should get a mighty fine howdy in return. I treat my trespassers and poachers with respect!

You could run faster with an old-frame Ruger Vaquero, Lowell.

Jack Rabbit! I've a Ruger 357 BlackHawk with a 7 1/2 barrel filled with 38s that my Mon&Dad keep up-in-the-country for their protection. In the night table by the bed, and to be used againts passers-by people who've run a muck and need to use a phone and take some money.

Rugers are strong. I've seen some loads for .45-70 in the Ruger 1 which my neck and retinas are NOT interested in. I just threw that in because technically it gets us back on topic. I really like the old Vaquero. I also like the Old Army soot producers but I don't have one. I keep saying I'll try BP in something but I somehow never get around to it. Had the makins for shotgun for six mo. and haven't got a roundtuit. The other OT (overtime) is killing me.

My std. shortie is H&K Mk23 .45cal pistol. For deep in the woods it's Black Hills 230gr JHP +P while for home defense Remi 230gr subsonic HPs get the nod.
