Never heard of it. Please report after you try it.

I don't use anything on valuable doubles...I'm probably too sheepish about this. But my other gun collecting interest is in vintage boys rifles, and for those I use Clenzoil preloaded wipes to remove 70-80+ years of dead skin, snot and finger grit. Apply with pre-loaded rag, then rub all areas well with a small piece of Magic Eraser (a Mr. Clean product which may already be under your kitchen sink), then wipe clean with paper towel. Two applications are usually all I need.

They sell Clenzoil on Amazon, and Magic Eraser at your grocery store.

So, no update on this? Did you use it?

My interest is twofold, because I want to use a product like this with the following in mind:

1. Did it clean the dead skin & dirt off the gun?
2. What type of sheen or finish did it leave after?

The 2nd is as important as the first. Some products leave an odd finish, like varnish...a "candy coat." Others almost strip the wood, which I would definitely not want.

The product mentioned above cleans but leaves kind of a lightly stained look. It doesn't "add" anything, just brings out the natural color of the wood.

But if there's something better out there...I wanna know.
