I bought my son a set of Froggtoggs waders for Christmas. After watching him for just one day I had to order a set for myself. The zipper is one major selling point. The removable liners are another. He said they were the most comfortable waders he has ever worn for both moving around and staying warm. Not cheap but well worth it I think. Mine will arrive this week and will be put to use this weekend goose hunting. Don't ask about the price. They are not cheap. I will be taking a proper double to shoot with them.

Mossyoak camo, which I think is overkill. At my size if a duck sees me no amount of camo will work.
From the makers web site.
Patented removable zippered liner system for complete versatility and adaptive comfort in all weather conditions • Zippered-removable 120-gram insulated liner • Heavy Duty, abrasion resistant nylon in the shin, knee and seat area • Zippered flip out security pocket • Two fleece lined hand warmer pockets • Two oversized storage pockets on chest • Adjustable elastic suspenders with quick release buckles • Adjustable wading belt with locking buckle • 1,600 gram Thinsulate™ boot with cleated outsole • T-Zip® waterproof front zipper for easy on and off • Realtree Timber™
The insulated liners are easy to zip out, can be machine washed. Left out in warm weather and put in for cold use. The ability to urinate without having to half undress is great. The zipper can also be lowered during heavy activity to keep from getting too hot and sweaty. They are breathable. A well thought out set of waders.

I need a pair of those to wade around in soclists Brentds posts... Joe, they are chest waders. You would be better off in a full wet suit with mask and breathing tank.

Thanks for the heads up! Although there have been waders with a zipper for several years now, I think some of the first ones were prone to leak. I'll be watching reviews to see if the zipper in these last without leaking. Having that feature would be worth a lot to me, as much as I love my morning coffee.
I have a set of Frogg Toggs hip boots that I like a lot. My use of hip boots often coincides with warmer temps and they can get very hot very quickly tearing out a beaver dam. These are the lightest weight ones I've ever seen. They are relatively inexpensive, at $79.95, and very comfortable. The boots are uninsulated and the tops are very lightweight material. The one drawback to that is that the tops are likely not very puncture resistant (think beaver cut "stobs" and cottonmouth fangs). They should work great for snipe hunting, though I haven't tried them for that yet. SRH
May God bless America and those who defend her.

Redington zippered waders - which I believe are owned by Simms - don't leak at all. I use them for the first half of duck season as well as trout fishing but as stocking foot waders go, they are no at all comfortable in the cold.
The liner idea is a neat idea, but it's in the boots where I want insulation and it looks like they have that in spades with 1600 gram thinsulate - though perhaps not removable.
