I have a "Adkin Maker Bedford", possibly approximately the same vintage, a Damascus 12 bore with cocking levers and internal hammers. 12 bore 29" Damascus. When you take a quick look at it, it looks like another hammer gun. I always assumed it was produced during a transitional period. A high quality gun with a Jones underlever. I don't know much more than that about it.

I was very surprised to see that particular Am. Arms Semi-Hammerless SxS. Very few engraved examples. That one is in my safe.

Not sure how the Bentley Patent guns and the Fukert differ in your definitions, but will eagerly await you next and future posts . All of your published work is very good and interesting.

Maybe the Lefever Sidecocker and the Grey patent exterior hammerless guns are part of some of the story. I see the Grey Patent and the American Arms [Semi-hammerless] working on the same idea.
