I have a beautifully, Turnbull, restored Parker 20 gauge DHE that I would love to use for upland game. The problem is that I am concerned about the muzzle of the barrels. I measured minimum wall thickness and they are in the .025-.028 range so, they are good in that respect however, the wall thickness at the muzzle look so thin that I am concerned that I may inadvertently dent the barrels. I was thinking about having a set of removeable Briley fitted tubes made in 28 gauge. I figured that they would help to stiffen the original barrels while only weighing about 10 ounces. My question is has anyone on the site used these and what did you think of them? Were they easy to install and remove? Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance for the help and knowledge.
