As to LOP, I've come to believe that convincing a shooter of another's belief of correct LOP is directly tied to how much faith the shooter has in the person giving the advice.
I am not that picky about it. I think that longer stocks recoil less but then again I do not have any trouble mounting it, as I thrust the gun forward and bring it into my shoulder. That is how I taught it as a law enforecement instructor and it works for me.
BTW I have a 12 ga with choked 5 RIGHT AND 15 Left and it is killer on incoming dove.
I don't mind the tighter chokes on that gun as I plan to use it for blues. Come to think of it, I no longer use 5 on skeet anymore I use 7 with 20,28 and 410.
