Funny how we all have our little things that we "must" have. The forend of a gun seems the least important to me, whether fat or skinny or nearly non-existant. The only time the issue comes up about forends with me is when target shooting with a small splinter FE and getting burned from hot barrels.
As for schnable style FE's, I first became attracted to them on a B325 when I noted that it was very trim compared to other Citori field and especially the skeet FE's. But in the end, I really don't think about FE's when I shoot.
