thanks for the good thoughts. My best deer stands were always elevated blinds and I can't climb any more; but I still have two ground box blinds that I can drive right next to. One was always good in the evenings and the other, in the mornings; so on nice days, I can still go out and remember the old days. "Ole big boy" is not likely to come with my pickup truck parked there; but he might follow a "sweet young thing" out, during the rut. I cook for the camp a lot, so even when I don't go out I still enjoy being there, pretending to hunt. When I really go down hill, we call the cabin's porch "stand # 1" and more than a couple deer, beaver, and several coyotes have been taken from the bench rest there. As long as you think you are still hunting, you have something to look forward to.
