Your discussion of Sauer's involvement in Lindner's production is pretty much the story of Sauer's " for the trade" operation. With the same machines and workmen, they could produce the parts for Lindner to produce Daly's doubles from; produce finished doubles, marked with some supplier's logo ; produce finished unmarked doubles, to be sold in local shops, sometimes marked by the shop or sometimes unmarked ( often called "Guild Guns"); and all the while produce guns for Daly, themselves ( usually Drillings) and Sauer branded guns to be sold by suppliers all over the world( sometimes the same supplier they may have made " House Brand" guns for). Is there any wonder so many look similar to each other.
