One other item, if I were making such a purchase, I would like to know if the both scears, upper & lower, are actually in place. Many times that top screw is just a place holder, being more or less a fake...

To make it simple: If you want a Hagn Gun buy it(it's the only one he built) - if you want a Sauer, i.e. a German gun of history, don't buy it
To take a literary license from Raimey (and the Germans), it’s neither fish nor meat. I am not after a “Sauer” nor a “Hagn”, but rather a SxS built by a master on an extraordinary action. “Perfect mechanical contrivance” if you will. So the first question is this an extraordinary action? So far, the answer is pointing to a disappointing no, but only after a thorough investigation will I know for absolute certainty.
Fingers crossed things improve once I have more information from Martini/Hagn but it’s not looking good.
