canvasback,
Postwar Sauers, made before the Sauer name was moved to West Germany are still desirable as solid hunting guns, maybe not as finely finished as pre war guns, but good solid guns nevertheless. After the Sauer name left, the same design guns were made under the Fortuna name and were also good solid guns. "Desirable" is one thing, and "collectable" is something else. A gun ( or anything else) can be desirable for one reason, and not collectable. Winchester Mod. 12s, seem to be collectable, but the same gun in solid frame form (mod 25), not so much.
