My Edward Paton Jones under lever .500 bpe is beautifully made with Brasier locks and the action is signed J&T.S, any thoughts on who this may be? The barrels are initialed HS, any input on either the barrel maker or actioner would be greatly appreciated.

I may be wide of the mark but I think J&T.S is Thomas Southgate's company and HS is Henry Squires, barrel maker to most of the best gunmakers.

Thanks Toby, now I have two more names to research. I am really impressed with the quality of this Paton rifle. I understand Paton finished some Boss guns in this time period so I guess I should not be surprised.
