Wish I had kept the ltrk Gr.I .410/28 ga. set, both with 28" full and full barrels, I bought years ago...

....Let me just say that the "Bean Counter" who instituted the Flat Knob and Short Tang features on this line should be horsewhipped!
Cooler heads prevailed as Browning re-adopted at least the Long Tang around the early 70's.
The short tang is forever going to be associated with salt wood and even when it plainly isn't you're going to have to prove it to the next owner ad nauseum...Geo

P.S. John, the reason I used "improper" was not because I thought it was, but because Bob called the long tang version "proper". I just juxtaposed it.
