Oh, by the way, just joking about the L.C.Smith failures (in honor of Klunk). A few failures of a certain make of gun, even if at one shoot, don't make a bad make of gun. Nouveau-Vintage Gun shooters don't always make the best choices of guns to engage in their new sport. The en-mass single trigger failures I have witnessed at one shoot are more a function of poor individual gun selection rather than poor brand selection. Ted should direct his sarcasm at the shooters who bought junk and the dealers who sold it rather than at the random failures of a few guns that share a brand name. Even he realizes that three Model 21 rib failures at a shoot with three Model 21s doesn't mean that 100% of all Model 21s have separated ribs. By the way, I've been shooting my 21 with a separated lug and rib for about 20 years in that condition. I shouldn't, but I have. What was the big emergency at the shoot Ted attended? Did the guns quit working? I doubt it.
