Blackdog, I examined my gun again last night. I tried all suggestions and I do not seem to have a part of the knurled wheel that is not knurled. No red line or any type of mark. Extra pressure on the wheel or front of forend does not result in hearing the forend snap in place. Since there is only slight movement of the forend when a shell is fired I guess I will live with it. BTW on my gun, when the action is open (lets just say if I was to pick the gun up and break it open) the ejectors are in the open (extended from the barrels) position. Does this mean anything?
