I have a 28 bore CZ have shot THOUSANDS of rounds through it with nary a hitch. It stands by the door here at the ranch so is the "go to" gun. If someone will tell me where I can buy a good used spanish or italian double for 679.00 as suggested, and save money I'll buy a boatload! Good Gun , CZ..........

If I remember correctly, CZ Brno has made some extremely fine sidelocks and boxlocks in the past...clean up to the sixties...the over&unders always looked a little overbuilt...the full stocked carbines from that era are as nice, IMO, as the Steyr full stocked carbines...

No, I never said one would save money in what I recommended. I said I would save a bit more money and buy either a new/used Spanish or Italian gun. In other words, save your money and spend it on a better gun (increase your bank account, and then buy a better gun).

Guess it depends on your point of view, I have a BUNCH of SxS's that cost way more than my lil CZ. Are they "Better"?

Re Patterning: I have patterned my CZ and it patterns % wise as well as my AYA 16...Maybe we are working on snob appeal here?

I wasn't commenting on anyone elses postings, I simply wanted to add the fact that CZ has made some very fine doubles in the past...although I am aware they cranked out some clunky stuff in recent decades...sorry if it came across wrong

Maybe you're right Last Dollar, a lot of good press for the CZ and other Turkish built shotguns; the new Hatfield comes to mind, and throwing a pattern as good as a top shelf Spaniard, maybe worth a look. All the best

CZ is not making these current guns. They are made in Turkey, by Huglu, to the best of my knowledge.
