Most of the modern muzzleloader barrel makers offer swamped barrels, both rifled and smooth bore. I have never seen a swamped barrel profile on a breech loading shotgun but I did have a Paradox gun with swamped tubes. The thinnest spot on those barrels was maybe 10" behind the muzzles and it then became noticeably thicker towards the muzzles. I am sure that was done to get correct balance.
