Cant see your marks clearly enough to tell you anything.

"W. Richards" was used by some Belgian makers for low value guns to be exported. Many of which came to the USA farming areas and sold through hardware outlets. Many Americans were likely slightly duped by confusion between W. Richards and Wesley Richards. Wesley never used anything but Wesley Richards. The actual William Richards (likely a cousin of Wesley) worked in Preston and Liverpool. His guns run the gamut of Original Quality grade and have nothing to do with the Belgian W. Richards guns. Back some years ago we had several discussions of "Just another Belgian Klunker" (JABK).

I inherited a W Richards Belgian clunker. Unsafe at any speed. I had always heard they employed a shopper sweeper with the name W Richards so they could use the name on their guns. Nice story, but unlikely to be true.

Those look like Birmingham proof marks? 1855-1868? The 15 bore stamp would be post 1855 when British law required it. (comments from the peanut gallery).

Some of W. Richards (Liverpool) high grade guns were made by William Powell & Son (Birmingham).

I have a W. Richards 16, made in their Preston shop in ~1905 (well, likely made in the trade with their Preston address). It is one of a pair and is my go-to ruffed grouse gun.
