Anyone ever use these? At 500 Rds for 130.00 hard not to want to try them. I sent an email to federal to see about pressures, but at 900fps Im thinking 6/7 thou?

You'll need to alter your lead or shooting style considerably if you want to use those at 900 f.p.s.

They were the recommended load for the Hastings Metro barrels. Super long ported barrel extensions, like 18 or something. Supposed to be low noise for metro useage.
Out there doing it best I can.

A couple of decades ago I had a bad experience with sub-sonic loads in a 1918-vintage Ansley H. Fox B-Grade, 12-gauge, with 28-inch Krupp 4-weight barrels. The loads I tried were the Eley Hawk. The gun would shoot right on both barrels with my 1200 fps 7/8 and 1 ounce reloads, but with the sub-sonic loads the left (improved modified) barrel shot off way left?!? Right barrel was fine. Have stuck with 1200 fps ever since.

I wonder how these differ from Winchester featherlights, same 900 fps, Ive been using Holland and Holland light loads that are 900 FPS with no issues, these for the price caught my eye.

They dont work well in guns that have had a big back bore.

I've shot them through the Metro barrels. They were the brain child of L.P. Brezny, back when he lived in the Twin Cities. He hunted waterfowl a lot in places where it was perfectly legal, but often complaints from neighbors would result in game wardens or cops showing up. So he was looking for a way to shoot quietly without the hassle. This is the result that Federal (and Hastings, although I believe the barrels were actually made by Verney-Carron) came up with.
Federal invited a bunch of outdoor writers for a tour of their facility. We had a chance to try the long barrels and quiet loads. And they really ARE quiet, through those long barrels. I could hit targets that didn't require much lead (straightaway or minimal angle) relatively well. Anything with swing involved, it felt awkward as hell.
