Jmo, but I think it should have remained a semi-pistol with the original grip cap. Don't know why there is the insistence on straight English grips on these projects.

A guy seeking out a 16 gauge, SXS, double trigger model 21 isnt likely the dude worried about what the latest clay crushing machine specs out at, or, what kind of grip it has on the stock. He is a traditionalist. It, is a bird gun.
If he was interested in maximizing a clay games score, he wouldnt have a 16, a SXS, double triggers, or, a model 21. Likely, he has traditional ideas of what a bird gun looks like, and preference to old notions and old ways. Hed just as soon ride in a horse drawn buckboard to the field at a plantation, instead of the air conditioned Range Rover parked next to it.
That is my guess. I could pass for that guy, when it comes to field guns, anyway.
