My bad Remi. 28" barrels, it's true, it's true. Modified / Cylinder English stocked as was meant to be, although I'm losing a really cool custom grip cap.

Jmo, but I think it should have remained a semi-pistol with the original grip cap. Don't know why there is the insistence on straight English grips on these projects. And put some Timberluxe stain http://www.timberluxe.com/wood-finish/timberluxe-walnut-stain-1 on your wood, it will really enrich the look and make it pop. JR

JR Cause that dog will hunt? A guy seeking out a 16 gauge, SXS, double trigger model 21 isnt likely the dude worried about what the latest clay crushing machine specs out at, or, what kind of grip it has on the stock. He is a traditionalist. It, is a bird gun. If he was interested in maximizing a clay games score, he wouldnt have a 16, a SXS, double triggers, or, a model 21. Likely, he has traditional ideas of what a bird gun looks like, and preference to old notions and old ways. Hed just as soon ride in a horse drawn buckboard to the field at a plantation, instead of the air conditioned Range Rover parked next to it. That is my guess. I could pass for that guy, when it comes to field guns, anyway. Nice looking gun, that looks like it will be even nicer looking at the end of the day, Bob. Best, Ted

JR Now John, you're certainly entitled to your opinion. The choice of an English stock was at my insistence, after all, I'm footing the bill. If you'll be patient, it'll only be a short while before this Model 21 wears a proper Winchester finish, you're currently looking at raw wood. Regarding Brian Board, as we speak Mr. Board is putting a correct finish on this Model 21, a first year Double Trigger 20 gauge, 28" Full / Mod (and look... a pistol grip !!)

While someone probably wouldn't be looking for a gun like that to compete with purpose-built sporting clays guns, it might be just fine for the purpose--given those chokes and 28" barrels--at sxs shoots. I don't play competitive skeet, but I do OK with a Parker Repro, slightly heavier, 28", chokes basically the equivalent of Skeet 1 & 2, shooting recreational skeet. Also works on your typical sporting clays courses set up for a sxs shoot rather than one that will draw the top dogs with real SC guns. I've played with heavier sxs and longer barrels, and I'm happy with the 16 for what I do. And it's a much better dual purpose hunting/target gun than a 12 weighing north of 8 pounds with 30-32" barrels.
