A good number of people have asked for a copy of my new book; VINTAGE GUNS FOR THE MODERN SHOT over the past few months and I promised to let them know when it will be available.

The consignment arrived on Wednesday and I collected a load of books on Friday. I can now send copies to anyone who wants one.

Just e-mail me with the name and address of the intended recipient and any special requests for dedications in this UK first edition. those who would prefer the American edition, please contact Skyhorse Publishing.

The price is £30 plus p&p. I will send an invoice with the book and payment can be done through paypal on my site as soon as it becomes operational.

Thanks for all the help and encouragement from members of this board these past four years - you have all been very supportive since the beginning.

Good news! Looking forward to getting the book Dig.

I can't remember if you will be making the trip to the US for the Vintagers event at Pintail Point in two weeks - if so, will you have any copies of the book available?

I had the same question as Chuck.

Does the American edition correct all those British misspellings - e.g., tyre, cheque, aluminium, etc.?

No nekkit pitchers in the U.S. edition? We hope you make it to the Vintagers, with the proper U.K. edition to distribute.

Ken - a lot of peOple have asked that question. When Skyhorse decided to come on-board with the US distribution and publication deal, they initially planned to sell it as it stood.

Then they decided they wanted dollar conversions for the US edition and some American contacts in the back as well as American spelling throughout.

That is the essence of the US edition. It retains all the photos and content of the UK edition.

Oh, and they changed the title to 'VINTAGE GUNS - COLLECTING, RESTORING AND SHOOTING CLASSIC FIREARMS'.
