My first encounter in 1975 in Karachi were with Baluch tribal members and from that grew an interest in the ethnography of the region and carpets, etc. Here is a simplified version of Baluch and their tribal structure I gave to the Marines (The Marines in Helmand Province wanted to blow away certain Baluch leaders - I got the to consider buying them...and their entire group - a better solution). I have a lot more detail on the sub-septs and families but since we're locked down, You all might as well know who these people are...if they are ever to be independent they'll have to dismember 3 countries (Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan) and get over their hatred of each other and their individual pride).
