Mr. RaRiddell doesn't mention having shot one of the Rems. It is always fascinating to me that people go looking for something they've been told about but have no experience with. Perhaps that is the source of the wealth of the Rems available in the used marketplace? Personally I've shot a number of the 32's and 3200's and never held one I felt the need to be mine. The same with the tank-like Kreighoff. Looking around at what people I shoot with use most the Italian gun are near universal - I presume prized for their handling as I do mine.

On the barrel interchangeability thing - I can only attest to Berettas and Perazzis as those are the only guns I've bother to add barrels to. Three different barrels on two different Berettas. They were all fine tho there was some minor wood easing on the one. BFD. With the Perazzis There have been many barrels and many different actions. Not being one to force fit anything all but a couple were overseen by Lucio Sosta. Even multiple barrels from a variety of models and vintages fitted to a single action and iron are not a problem for him. The very worst of the lot was an unsingle barrel more than 20yrs newer than the action I was putting it on. Massive mismatch relatively speaking. Lucio took all of maybe 10min to put that right.
At any rate all JMO of course.
And besta luck to the OP
