These treatments result in an SVR, or sustained virological response, where no virus can be detected for at least 12 weeks. It has been shown that the incidence of the active infection returning is under 1%. No virus detected means a complete and total cure.

Our best hope for Covid19 in the short term is quick development, testing, and approval of an effective vaccine, and antiviral treatments to mitigate symptoms in those with severe infections. Otherwise, we are going to see some estate sales of doubles owned by guys who didn't survive this pandemic. And quite a few countries with Socialized Medical systems are doing far worse than we are.
