Its likely all academic, and two trigger double guns are extraordinarily reliable. But, a buddy had a Webley 700 fail on the opening shot of pheasant season, and the gun was sidelined for the rest of the year.
I think the disc set striker thing is more important in a boxlock then, say, a Holland patern sidelock. It is easy to replace a striker in the sidelock, hand detachable lock or otherwise.
Buddy had a Benelli to use. I would have spares, too. But, I could have fixed my Uggy at the truck, or, at home.
