I've see them for 40+ years & NEVER have I seen anyone picking them up less some fishermen for lead weights. So they are still there. Let's see . . . fishermen can walk along picking up stray lead weights on controlled access thoroughfares in Alabama . . . but joggers can't run on the shoulder of the road? (Not that there aren't better places to run!) Gotta be some strange laws down there in AL.
