Had the trigger fail in my Invicius 5 and sent it back for warranty. CG was very attentive but their gunsmith proved to be not so hot. First he put a whole new trigger in saying that it would solve my skeet tube problems. It DID NOT and I sent it back, his second cure was to reduce pull and then he tested it with a "3 inch 410 and all was good". The tubes are for 2.5 410's so I am sure his proof test provided enough recoil to set the trigger. It does not set the second trigger roughly 25% of the time with 410's and I am not sure what trigger pull has to do with setting the trigger. I will be traveling the 3 hours to see Philip shortly. bill

Bill,
I had a trigger failure on my CG Impact. To preface that, my guns has had thousands of rounds through it as it is my dedicated SC gun going on 10 years now. Repair time was exceptional and not only did they repair the trigger but also did a complete tune-up. I've had the gun in a couple of times and have always been very satisfied and have never been charged for the repairs. I might also add that I'm not the original purchaser. However, when I was shooting sub gauge events, the .410 shells would not set the second barrel 20, 28 no problem. Hopefully your problem with the factory repair is the exception rather than the rule.
Dodging lions and wasting time.....

This may not have anything to do with your problem, but I have a CG sub gauge set and was having trouble with the second trigger setting. My friend has the same setup, and we swapped guns, I had problems with his also, but he was not having a problem with either. We finely figured out that I was not closing the gun with enough authority. Not sure why, but this took care of the problem.

Trigger pull has nothing to do with it imho. Likely, it needs a different inertia block (less weight/mass) or a weaker inertia block spring, Im guessing. Phillip will know what to do, Im sure.
