ed, I answered you, but you are too stupid to comprehend it.
Since the number of privately held firearms in the U.S. has risen dramatically since Liberal Democrat Bill Clinton enacted his 2nd Amendment attacks and infringements, it seems rather obvious that the people of this nation have no desire to disarm.
Your other two questions were answered by a more influential source than me. The U.S. Supreme Court answered those questions in the 2008 Heller and 2010 McDonald decisions. The High Court reaffirmed what the Framers of the Constitution said and wrote, their Original Intent. The majority did not legislate from the Bench, and manufacture their opinion from whole cloth or personal animus for guns and gun owners.
It is a shame that guys like you and your anti-gun pal King could never accept those decisions, and spent so much time attempting to lie to us and to undermine our rights. It's a bigger shame that many guys who purport to support the 2nd Amendment thought it is OK to embrace people like you and King who continue to stab us in the backs. It is long past time to put you in your place. You are no friend to the 2nd Amendment or the Republic.
P.S.- As you can see ed, I am not afraid to answer you or anyone here. I am not like rocky mtn bill or King in that regard. But it does get somewhat tiring repeating the same things to a thick-headed anti-gun idiot like you. Why don't you take your questions and attempts to discuss disarming law abiding citizens to some Libtard Democrat forum where it will be welcomed?

an keet, to further elaborate...
yep, no doubt bout hit, private gun ownership is way up...but to claim that fact to be the the reason why the people of this country have no desire to disarm is a questionable assumption, not based on any proveable evidence...last i heard, we have about 300 million firearms in private hands in this country...wonder how many of those firearms are carried routinely by their owners? we don't know...maybe one - two percent? if so, then a few million people are running around armed everyday...if these people were certified as being trained in safe firearms handling, then that would make many feel safer...problem is, we have no idea, who is carrying and their level of training and competency...every state requires drivers to pass a written and actual driving test to prove their ability to safely operate an automobile...why not the same for those of us who wish to go about armed each day?

as to the second amendment prohibiting state and local governments from regulating the keeping of arms by the people?
apparently not, because we do have hundreds of state laws and local ordinances that do regulate the keeping of arms by the people...

as to, whether federal legislation infringing on the right of the people to keep and bears arms, is a violation of the second amendment?
well, i think so...but the reality is, we have federal laws on the books from the 1930's, 60's and 90's, that do infringe on the right of the people to keep and bear arms...
keet, how come you got nuttin to say bout dat?

Oh, but I have had plenty to say about that ed. Unfortunately, you are too busy acting like a fool, and haven't paid attention. One last time ed... for you and rocky mtn bill... you are correct that states and local governments have enacted thousands of laws that infringe upon the 2nd Amendment. And many of these laws have even been upheld by State and Federal Courts. However, many of the most egregious infringements were struck down in the Heller and McDonald decisions. Those Supreme Court decisions expressly decided that the government does have some limited power to enact gun laws. That power was addressed by the Framers. Neither they, nor I want a total free-for-all where violent felons and mentally ill people have access to firearms. But as with the rest of the Constitution, there must be a presumption of innocence... not a determination by you or any anti-gun Liberal Left Democrat that someone MAY be a threat just because they are black, white, 19 years old, or whatever. This is the reasonable restrictions that Justice Scalia wrote extensively about in the Heller majority opinion. I support and agree with that, and so does the NRA. Where most laws and restrictions and infringements have occurred, they have been enacted by Liberal Left Democrats, and the Courts that have upheld Unconstitutional infringements have been staffed by Liberal Left Judges who ignored the original intent of the Framers, and who ignored the Constitutional rights of law abiding citizens. By the way, contrary to your ideas about concealed carry, the number of people who do is far more than your estimate. And it has not led to the predicted wild west carnage. Actually there are now some states that simply allow law abiding citizens to carry concealed without any permit required. That should warm your silly little anti-gun heart.

Now here's a question for you ed.. And rocky mtn bill, and our other libtards:
What do you think would save the most lives and have the greatest effect on reducing violent crime???
A) Passing a law which would stop old guys like you from owning AR-15's
B) Passing laws which allow cops to stop and frisk gang-bangers and young black and Hispanic males between ages 16 and 40.
We already know that Stop and Frisk would have a greater benefit on violent crime reduction. It was proven to work in New York City and other places. But the same Liberals who want stricter gun laws that affect law abiding citizens scream bloody murder about violating the Constitutional rights of minorities by enacting Stop and Frisk.
It really isn't about saving lives then. It's about taking away our 2nd Amendment Rights and our guns.

I never stopped ed... even though some of the liberals here have gone to extreme lengths to try to stop me. They have cried and bitched to Dave. They have conspired and engaged in internet doxxing. They have sent anonymous intimidation mail to my home. They have done extensive internet searches trying to find dirt on me. And they even called me on the phone screaming vulgar threats.
These are the sick bastards that preach about how nice and civilized it is on Upland Journal
Think about that ed.
