Happy New Years Guys, My New Years goal is to master the double trigger, I am working hard to reverse 25 years of "muscle memory" shooting clays with a release trigger. I want to shoot a respectable doubles score without too many flinches! Or at least stay on the station! Shooting my Remington FE and 32TC (double trigger)--it's like just starting to shoot again!

I shoot a double release for sporting clays too. I just started with one in the last few months, but I shot a release for trap many moons ago, so Im pretty skilled with one. I had to go to release because I couldnt make it through 10 shots without flinching. For hunting or shooting a SxS, its no problem for me to shoot pull or double triggers. You just have to think about what you are shooting and go from there. Practice on the skeet field with double triggers might help you. It did me when I first shot DTs. After about 100 shots it wont be that hard for you. Practice front to back and when you have that down back to front. Its easy to go back and forth with practice and familiarity with all these triggers. You just have to think.

My New Years goal is to shoot at least 6 different SxS tournaments in 6 different places this season.
The Southern. Deep river Sporting in SC? Hausmann's PA Paul's Lapeer Sportsman's Club. Lapeer, MI Gentleman's Cup Freeland, MI The Great Northern WI Tunnel of Trees, North of Petoskey, MI
There's one by Chicago that might be fun too
They all get listed here, and I'm sure I've forgotten some.
And any other's that I can get lined up for.
I hope all of you can do the same as well. Happy New Year everyone!

CZ, For the uninitiated, where and when are each of these events? Particularly the where.

Mike, I gave up single triggers years ago and haven't looked back. As was mentioned, a skeet field is a good place to get shooting double triggers correct. After a while you will find them to be intuitive. Wishing everyone here a happy and healthy New Year. Three days left for my grouse season! Karl

First thing is to get my knees fixed. My hunting & shooting has almost become non-existent due to the problems I'm having with my knees. I'm just hoping that I'll be able to resume these activities after I get the replacements.

Just getting out more. I need to get myself on a clays league, again. I need more practice. I would like to continue to find little out of the way WMAs to hit for an hour or three after work, the ones on the list now are good, but, having more would be better. Keeping it close to home allows for more opportunities. Lake of the Woods county will always be great, but, it is six hours from here. Happy New Year, everybody.
Best, Ted

One goal is to get to the Southern at Deep River, in April. I've been to the Fall, at Georgetown, SC numerous times, but not the Spring Southern. Seems impossible, with it happening during spring planting on the farm.
Also, finish up some gun projects that have been in a state of limbo for several years. And, NO NEW GUN PURCHASES until I sell a few that aren't being shot anymore.

May God bless America and those who defend her.

Along Stans line of thinking, my resolution is no new guns for 2020. Probably dont need any more ever, but thats too tough a promise to make/keep.
